Shipping Charges

Progressivecavityparts.com and Liberty Process Equipment is proud to supply you with your aftermarket progressive cavity pumps and pump parts. We pride ourselves on you receiving your parts damage-free from our selected carriers, and as such, we wish to explain to you about how we package, ship and the reasoning behind our practices.

Pump Shipping Untruth #1.)

Pump parts are heavy, unwieldy and frequently non-shippable via normal shipping options such as UPS. This statement is true in every sense of the word. Progressive cavity pump parts can easily weigh in excess of 300 lbs and have a diameter of only several inches, this leads to "package blow-outs" where the package was lifted incorrectly by the shipper and the pump part punctured the corrugated material. However, we use UPS every day and when a part is packaged correctly, then it isn't a concern.

Solution: By utilizing heavy lumber stock void-fill inside our heavy-duty corrugated packages as a stiffener along with very tightly placed packing materials, we restrict the part movement inside and severely limit the possibilities of packaging failure such as blowouts or tape failure. Our packaging for our pump parts is "overbuilt" resulting in your parts getting to you on time and in optimal condition. The result is that we can offer you common courier shipping via UPS with no fear of package loss.

Pump Shipping Untruth #2.)

Many parts will require many packages. Often, OEM manufacturers will ship each part separately to your location, resulting at times in lost packages, incomplete shipments and overall time lost.

Solution: At Liberty Process Equipment we believe in the common sense approach. We've been packaging and shipping these heavy pumps for decades now and can safely package multiple items together in the same box/crate and get them to you for a savings in your shipping charges. If an order has item(s) weighing over 70 lbs and we are shipping via UPS and your order has more than one SKU part# of that weight (for instance a Rotor and Stator together) we will package the items in separate packages per UPS instructions.

Pump Shipping Untruth #3.)

All Pump Packaging is the Same Yes, we do charge an additional small packaging fee to compensate for the cost of our packaging and packaging materials, and here's why.

Solution: The overbuilding of our shipping containers is the result of over a decade of customer service from shipper-damaged packages and as a result, our shipping department has orders to pack all outbound packages "like its going into a hurricane".

Our shipping department is the last stop for all Liberty Process Equipment/ Progressivecavityparts.com orders and no matter the ease of ordering or rapidity in which you receive the parts means nothing if you receive them in a damaged condition.

This is the look of how Progressive Cavity Parts ships out all large packages. Many times our parts are called for while a waste water plant or industrial facility is shut-down for maintenance or part-failure. Waiting for these important pump parts and receiving an empty box or damaged part can cost your facility thousands if not hundreds of thousands in lost production due to the pump being down. Our over-packaging is our extra "insurance" that your part arrives undamaged and ready to be installed the moment you need it.

Our additional packaging fees go towards the time and effort it takes to get these heavy parts to you in one piece and on time. Full pump assemblies have entire wooden crates built custom per order to protect the pump in shipping transit. We would rather you know what our packaging prices were then simply add them to the final cost. Its how we're able to keep our pump and part prices as low as they are.
